Phubber
The person who snub others in favor of his/her mobile phone, who ignore another person by fiddling his/her mobile.
指某些不停玩手机而忽略他人的人；低头族
这个描述一类人的名词来源于动名词“phubbing”，“phubbing”是由“phone”（手机）加“snubbing”（冷落他人的行为）组成，即表达了“因为手机而冷落/忽视他人的行为”。
重申一遍，phubber表达低头族（名词），phubbing表达低头族刷手机的行为（动名词）。
由上文我们可以了解到“phubber”和“低头族”还是有些许的差别的，“phubber” 强调的是因为“玩手机而冷落他人”，但是汉语“低头族”则强调的是“低着头玩手机的行为”。

Flood the screen
The act of sending a lot of text in a small time frame, whether accidentally or in the hope of annoying or lagging people.
短时间内发送大量文字，有意无意地惹毛、或拖慢别人；霸屏、刷屏。
由解释来看的话，此英文俚语似乎和汉语的“刷屏”有所不同，英文带有明显的贬义。
但实际上，刷屏这种说法最早出现于聊天室时代，又称“洗版”，逐渐扩展到论坛，泛指 “短时间内发送大量信息，专指重复相同或无意义的内容，一般是出于蓄意捣乱或发泄情绪的心理”。
由此可见，其实 flood the screen和“刷屏”是一致的。
新词的诞生其中便包括 “旧词衍生新义”，即 “刷屏”一词，被赋予了新的含义：人们对待某一热门事物表达出相同的热情，例如发了相同的朋友圈。
Flood the screen 和“刷屏 ”两词均有上述类似的发展趋势，都因互联网的迅速传播而逐渐扩展内涵，感情基调也趋于中性，或取决于语境。
因此，flood the screen基本可以和“刷屏”对等。
Flood the screen 这个俚语中，最重要的便是Flood一词，它表达了“短时间用某一相同内容充满xxx”的意思，因而宾语screen可以灵活变换。
